What is Eszterbauer? Family winery from Szekszárd since 1746

The Eszterbauer family has been making wine in the Szekszárd wine region since 1746, now carried on by the tenth generation. The winery is known for red wines based on Kadarka and Kékfrankos, the grapes that define the character of Szekszárd.

Famous Eszterbauer wines

  • Kadarka, the traditional, spicy grape of Szekszárd

  • Kékfrankos, fresh and fruity, also available as rosé

  • Bikavér (Bull's Blood), a powerful blend of multiple grapes

Which dishes pair well with Eszterbauer wine?

The full-bodied, spicy red wines from Eszterbauer pair excellently with hearty, savory Hungarian dishes such as beef goulash Marhapörkölt or Borsos Tokány.
