Description
The Baro Steiner Bikavér is a premium bull blood from a great year. A concentrated, elegant wine composed of selected raw materials. Ripe cherries and black currants on the nose, fruit, barrel spice and velvety tannins on the palate. The origin of Bikavér is now known, and no wine cellar in Szekszárd can do without this top wine. The best selected high-quality grapes give this wine its elegant body and taste. Produced according to the true Bikavér tradition, including 12 months aging in wooden barrels. Bikavér means bull's blood in Hungarian.

"Sógor (brother-in-law) Steiner returned home with manly confidence from horrific scenes in World War I, so he wanted to join the French Foreign Legion in hopes of income, but he stayed home against Aunt Lizi's objections. They drank wine and we children devoured Sógor's peach cake. Sógor Steiner led a somewhat hedonistic life, robbing his more affluent partners at card parties in an aristocratic setting, and so he got the name Baron Steiner. Our popular name was Lekváros(Jam) Eszterbauer , but I'll tell you on another label..." János Eszterbauer
